Class, Workshop & Lesson Policies |
Registration:A paid in full registration will secure your reservation for any photography Workshop or Class (herein referred to as "Workshop") or Private Lesson, based on availability. Workshop payments may be made via our registration system (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Amex). All monies must be received by the first day of your prospective Workshop. Workshop fees may vary based on length and location of the Workshop, fees, instructor fees, model fees, and, in some cases, taxes and gratuities. Workshop fees are quoted in US dollars and must be paid in same. If any required payments are not made, we reserve the right to treat your reservation as cancelled (see cancellations below). Cancellations, Changes and Refunds for Classes/Workshops:Cancellations on the part of the student must be made in writing or email and received by our office by email per the schedule listed below unless otherwise stated in the Workshop description. A phone call from the participant is also recommended to confirm receipt of his or her written cancellation. Cancellation fees/dates are as follows on all workshops: Cancellation of a Workshop more than 7 days prior to the start date will receive a full refund of the Workshop fee or credit to a future Workshop. Due to our small class sizes, no refunds are given for cancellations within 7 days of Workshop's start date. If a student cancels their participation within 7 days prior to the start of the class, class fees paid can be applied to a future class date in the 6 month period following the original class start date, or applied to a workshop. No refunds or changes will be made on or after the Workshop start date. Sessions cancelled by the instructor will be made up at no additional charge, including one-on-one make-ups. Missed Workshop sessions:If a student misses a class session, it may be made up within a 3-month period on a space available basis, at no additional charge. Make-up sessions are limited to one per student per class or workshop. Arrangements can be made for one-on-one make-ups for an additional fee of $90 per missed session. Private Lesson changes / cancellations:All Private Lesson cancellations and changes must be made at least 24 hours in advance of scheduled Lesson time. No refunds are given for Private Lesson cancellations or changes within 24 hours of appointment. Cancellations made within 24 hours of scheduled Private Lesson appointment will be charged 50% of the total Lesson cost. If a student cancels their participation within 24 hours of the scheduled Private Lesson, the remaining 50% of fees paid can be applied to a future Private Lesson or or Workshop date in the 6 month period following the original appointment. If a student fails to appear for a scheduled Private Lesson, the appointment will be treated like a cancellation. Sessions cancelled by the instructor will be made up at no additional charge, including one-on-one make-ups. Cancellations or rescheduling of Private Lessons or Workshops on the part of Indy Photo Coach, LLCMay be made resulting from certain foreboding circumstances beyond the control of Indy Photo Coach, LLC. We also retain the right to cancel or reschedule any Workshop when inadequate enrollment makes the Workshop economically unfeasible for our company. In those rare cases, participants will be notified via email or phone. A full refund will be made by business check or we can apply deposits or other monies to another Workshop in the 12-month period following the original booking. However, Indy Photo Coach, LLC will not be responsible for additional loss or expense incurred by the Workshop participant. Please be assured, however, that it is with the utmost consideration that Indy Photo Coach, LLC ever considers such cancellations. Model Release:By participating in a Indy Photo Coach, LLC Workshop or Private Lesson and signing the provided waivers, you consent that any and all photographs and/or video tapes of you or that include your property may be used by Indy Photo Coach, LLC and/or its assigns in promotional and/or advertising efforts for no fee and/or compensation. Right to Use of Creative Works:By participating in a Indy Photo Coach, LLC Workshop or Private Lesson and signing the provided waivers, you consent that any and all creative works including but not limited to: photographs, digital files, hard copy photos, video, Flickr postings, and multimedia works, created by you or that include your property may be used by Indy Photo Coach, LLC and/or its assigns in newsletter, promotional and/or advertising efforts for no fee and/or compensation other than visible, written credit being cited to you as the creator in the following format: "Photo by (your name)". Special Terms and Conditions:Whether the Workshop in which you are participating is held on private, public, or government lands, you agree to abide by all rules, restrictions, and ordinances governing such lands and property. You also agree to respect the rights of other Workshop participants, instructors, leaders, and those providing services to or for said Workshop. Failure to comply with any governing rules or authority may result in the removal of the participant from said Workshop or related activity with no provisions for refund. Indy Photo Coach, LLC reserves the right to stop a Workshop or remove individuals at any time it is felt a participant is a danger to other members or him/herself. It is the responsibility of Workshop participants to be in good physical condition and to notify Indy Photo Coach, LLC of any medical, dietary, or physical needs. All Workshop itineraries are tentative (subjects, events, times). Itineraries are subject to change without prior notice due to weather and other environmental conditions, direct or indirect logistical arrangements, health conditions of Workshop participants and/or instructors, employees, guides, or assigns, and/or any other factors deemed to be relevant by Indy Photo Coach, LLC. However, we will make every effort to relocate the Workshop or substitute activities of equal value, if possible. Tobacco-Free Environment:We are a tobacco-free organization and ask that you refrain from smoking or using tobacco products during class sessions. Satisfaction Guarantee:We want you to be pleased with every lesson & class you take with us. If it is not all you expected it to be, let us know. The current and any remaining sessions will be refunded or credited to a different class/lesson. We are in business to educate you, and if you are satisfied then we are doing our job.
