DSLR Video Techniques

Sessions: 3 class sessions, 3 hours in length

Locations and Dates Below: Indianapolis

Price: $350.00

DSLR camera aren't just for photos anymore. IPC instructor and professional videographer, Michael Carney, will help you take full advantage of your camera's capabilities and guide you through the process of creating video using your DSLR.

The first session will cover video equipment versus photo equipment - what works well, what works okay, and what doesn't work at all. You will learn the differences in techniques of still photography and videography, as well as the benefits and drawbacks to shooting video with DLSR cameras and how to work within those limitations.

The second session is your opportunity to get out and shoot your video on-site. Class will meet at a local festival to capture the events of the day and create a compelling video story. (Admission not included in price of class)

The third session is the edit day. During this class, you will be introduced to non-linear editing software and discuss how to use it. As a class, you will work to begin edting a 2-minute piece designed for the web from the files you shot at your on-site class. You will learn about different editing techniques and how to edit the video for a web market.

This class will provide you with everything you need to get started shooting DSLR video, whether you are looking to simply capture special family moments, or to create a compelling promotional tool for your business.
